30 May Decanter Awards Soumah Platinum & Gold!
Time to celebrate the Pinots!
Now in its 16th year and recognised as the world’s largest wine competition, the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) were officially announced this week.
Wines were entered from 57 countries, with more than 16,500 to be tasted including 930 entries from Australia. The blind judging was completed by 280 wine experts from 30 countries; including 70 Masters of Wine and 23 Master Sommeliers. The wines are “judged by some of the most highly qualified great tasters, great palates working in the industry today,” says Jeannie Cho Lee MW, Regional Chair for Burgundy.
Among the Australian wines that were award recipients, our 2017 Equilibrio Pinot Noir received one of 16 Platinum medals, as well as a Gold medal to our 2017 Hexham Vineyard Pinot Noir.
