JULY WRAP UP!

With the end of a very busy July we are proud to report on all the good things to come out of the month!

We hosted TWO successful Fireside Yarra Valley events, bottled our much anticipated 2023 SAVARRO and 2023 PINOT GRIGIO as well as hosting so many epic groups for wine tastings and lunches in Ai Fiori Trattoria!

Have a look at all the photos from July below!

Among everything that has been happening here at our ‘home base’ in Gruyere, we have been receiving some great recognition in the media as well! Check it out below!

SOUMAH 2021 Equilibrio Viognier – GOLD 95 Points
“A Scented nose, showing notes of white chocolate, lemon curd, white peaches, lychees and white flowers. Rounded texture, with very intense flavours and persistent finish.”

Take a sneak peak into our 2022 Equilibrio Chardonnay that we are releasing later on in the year AND had on the menu for our Fireside Yarra Valley Truffle Dinner!

Check out some epic reviews we have received below!

The Real Review | Gold Medal 95 Points
“Complex aromas of melon skin, grapefruit pith, just-ripe peach, nuts, mineral and struck match. The palate has real poise, richness and precision, nectarine and white peach, grapefruit, punchy acidity, textured, layered and long. Sophisticated, pure, and precise.”

Australia’s Wine Business Magazine | 94 Points
“There is a cool edginess to this wine, scents of more classic nectarine and green apple joined by a faint fino sherry lift. Nice one. It has an almost gently fleshy feel to texture but the underlying saline minerality catches up to that quickly and whips the wine away to zesty freshness. It’s distinct in its way, excellent for that. 94 points.”

Dan’s Wine Blog | Wine Assist
“This “little ripper” CHARDONNAY comes from the cool Yarra Valley just outside of Melbourne.
SOUMAH WINES make a wide array of exemplary cool-climate wines as well as importing a limited range of French and Italian wines which are close to their heart, such as, in the whites, an Italian Pinot Grigio and a Nascetta. The “pièce-de-résistance”, the flagship SOUMAH EQUILIBRIO 2022 CHARDONNAY (vegan friendly). OMG! This is the epitome of a cool-climate CHARDY with a divine, lively bouquet of citrus (mainly lemons) with a dash of florals and a splash of stone fruit. It has a magnificent, mouth-filling, crisp palate with fabulous depth of flavour, great structure and a vibrant, refreshing, lingering finish with just a trace of fine vanilla in oak. TRULY AWESOME!”

“This wine offers beautifully defined varietal fruit in the white peach-grape fruit range. A hint of nutty complexity adds to the picture. Good drinking, but we wondered whether a little more time on lees in barrel would have been beneficial.”
