J. Denuzière
The J. Denuzière story began in 1876 when Joanny Paret developed the reputation of Condrieu wines in local cafes and bistros. Joseph Paret continued his father’s work for forty years. Paret Wines became Denuzière Wines when Pierre Denuzière, Joseph’s son-in-law took over the winery in the 1940s.
Today, the Domaine extends over two hectares of vines in Condrieu and Cornas, now managed by Caroline Moro. Only Syrah, Marsanne, Roussane and Viognier are grown here: aromatic and difficult grape varieties that were initially planted “wherever the vine sees the Rhone.” Work here is difficult as the vineyards are only reachable by foot. A holistic approach in the vineyard leads to artisanal work in the cellar — attention to detail reigns, and the winemaking process is built upon experience, simplicity and tradition.
