Come and celebrate the release of our first ever reserve Nebbiolo while enjoying the beautiful surrounds of Ai Fiori Trattoria at SOUMAH over a five course lunch.
The phenomenal 2022 vintage gave us the perfect conditions to create our long awaited reserve Nebbiolo. Hand picked fruit was fermented in open pots and then left on skins for over 120 days to extract as much natural tannin and flavour as possible. The wine was then matured for three years in large oak puncheons before being bottled and left for another nine months before release. We call this wine - Mezzaluna - Italian for 'half moon' - which reflects our deep connection to nature's rhythms that guide us on every step of our wine growing journey.
Starting with a selection of canapes and our trophy winning 2020 Crescent Moon, the lunch will then feature a range of our SV Nebbiolo wines along with delectable dishes such as roasted quail and venison ragu. To finish will be our own house cured drunken cheese, an Italian Montasio which we soaked in our Nebbiolo wine and then packed freshly pressed skins around it and matured it in the cellar for six weeks. This celebration lunch will be held on Sunday 26 April and bookings are available for a 12pm, 1pm or 2pm arrival. Tickets cost $145 per person and can be booked directly through us.
