19 JULY | A Rhone Affair
The Rhône Valley is one of France's most important and diverse wine regions. Stretching along the Rhône River from Lyon to Avignon, it produces a wide range of red, white, and rosé wines, from everyday bottles to some of the world's most prestigious wines.
We are celebrating the diversity of this region and their main grape varieties, Viognier, Marsanne, Rousanne and Syrah with an in depth look at wines from SOUMAH and also a number of smaller producers in France. Accompanying the wines will be a delectable five course long lunch with a French influence, enjoyed while overlooking the beautiful surrounds of Ai Fiori Trattoria.
Starting with a classic French onion soup and a glass of museum release 2018 SV Viognier. To follow is house made scallop and tarragon ravioli matched to our own 203 Equilibrio Viognier and a 2021 J. Denuziere Crozes-Hermitage Blanc. The main course will be a roasted lamp rump served alongside our 2024 Equilibrio Syrah (pre-release) and J. Denuziere 2021 Crozes-Hermitage Rouge. And then to finish we will match the Domaine St Patrice 2020 Chateauneuf-du-Pape and J. Denuziere 2019 Cote Rotie with an aged comte. Check out the full menu here.
This celebration lunch will be held on Sunday 19 July and bookings are available for a 12pm, 1pm or 2pm arrival. Tickets cost $145 per person and can be booked directly through our website.
