Taste at the cellar door
The cellar door is open daily from 10am to 5pm, looking straight out over the estate. Three tastings suit three moods. The Classic tasting ($18) is a relaxed, standing tasting, and walk-ins are welcome for groups under eight. The Italian tasting ($30) is a seated flight of the estate's signature Italian varieties, booked ahead. The Premium tasting ($55) is a seated tasting of the top wines in the Premium Wine Room. Groups of eight or more are asked to book so there is a table waiting.
For a slower afternoon, the self-guided wine flights ($25, daily 10am to 4pm) let you take your time at your own pace, and the guided Premium experience ($55) walks you through the estate's best in the Premium Wine Room.

Two ways to eat on the estate
Ai Fiori Trattoria is Soumah's Northern-Italian restaurant, all woodfired pizza and handmade pasta with the vineyard through the windows. It is open daily for lunch from 11:30am to 4pm, and bookings are required. On weekends there is a minimum spend of $40 per person on food, with a 10% surcharge on weekends and 20% on public holidays. Groups of 10 to 20 can be arranged by phone or email.
Piazza Bar is the relaxed, outdoor side of things: woodfired pizza, cheese and grazing boards, a glass in the sun, and dogs welcome. It is weather-dependent and takes no bookings, so you simply arrive. Through summer it opens later on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6pm (November to February).

Stay the night among the vines
Soumah has two ways to stay on the estate. Villa Sophia is a four-bedroom villa that sleeps eight, over 225 square metres, with a full kitchen, three fireplaces, a bocce court and a fenced yard. It is dog-friendly for up to two dogs, which makes it easy for a family or a group to settle in for a weekend.
The Villette are smaller and more private: three Studio-Villette (77 square metres, for two guests) and one Grande-Villette (130 square metres, for a family), each with a king bed, a kitchenette, an outdoor fireplace and a deck.
All stays have a two-night minimum, and every arrival is met with a complimentary Blanc de Blanc and an antipasti board waiting for you. Book direct for the best rate.

Celebrate or gather at Soumah
The estate hosts everything from a long lunch to a full-venue celebration. Group events suit 10 to 20 guests, celebration lunches seat up to 40 from Monday to Thursday, and evening events can take over the whole venue for up to 60. Corporate days work well in the conservatory at Villa Sophia. Groups of 10 to 20 guests can enjoy a table in our enclosed deck area which has stunning views of the vineyard and the surrounding scenic landscape. During warmer weather the deck opens to a lovely grassed area, perfect for group and family photos or any special celebration.
Your guests can enjoy a 3-course menu with various options. We can also add a wine tasting and glass of wine or put together a beverage package if required. Please view Group Packages below for all pricing, details and terms and conditions.

Evening Events
Hire our entire venue for your private use on any evening, for up to 60 guests. Start with pre-dinner drinks on the lawn, grazing table style dinner and desserts; all enhanced by the stunning vineyard view and surrounding landscape. The deck has reverse cycle air-conditioning but can also be opened to the lawn area, depending on the weather.
For your exclusive event, we offer a grazing table in our dining room laden with antipasti boards, cheese platters, a selection of our wood fired pizzas followed by trays of bite sized sweets to finish. Drinks packages available. Please view Private Evening Event Package for more details.

Celebration Lunch Events

Soumah is at 18 Hexham Road, Gruyere VIC 3770, about an hour from Melbourne and a short drive from Healesville. There is parking on site. The cellar door and Ai Fiori Trattoria are open daily; Piazza Bar is seasonal and weather-dependent. Dogs are welcome at Piazza Bar and in Villa Sophia. You can taste, dine and stay all in the one visit.
