2025 Nebbiolo Bianco d’Soumah
Nebbiolo Bianco is a synonym for the white grape variety Arneis. It is not related directly to Nebbiolo but was planted alongside Nebbiolo in Piedmont to attract the birds away from the more prized red grapes. Hence it became known as Nebbiolo Bianco. This wine is crisp with aromas of green apple, pear and lemon.

"Okay, you had me at nebbiolo bianco. Is this a new variety? Turns out it is a synonym for arneis but you still had me, I am a sucker for arneis. Love the racy, bright acidity that gets the tastebuds going. It adds up to perfect solo drinking or fits in well with a platter of shellfish. Apple, lemon, ruby grapefruit, light spice and spring flowers. There is plenty to like in this crisp, lightly textural wine as it builds and moves across the palate. Most inviting. 90 Points."

"A synonym for Arneis. Green pear, sliced fennel, lemon, green apple, honeydew melon — it's bright, lifted and uncomplicated. The palate holds a mirror up to the nose in a fruit-forward style, with a lovely wash of pithy acidity carrying to medium length. This is a drink-and-don't-think vibe — a Nebbiolo Bianco/Arneis for enjoyment in the sunshine at the end of a long day. 90 Points."

2025 VINTAGE
Winter was relatively normal, albeit with more rain than typical. As spring approached it started to turn dryer and hotter and the phenomenon continued into spring laying the foundation for a great flowering. The summer months and into harvest mirrored the spring experience with average daytime temperatures from January into harvest being much higher than the long-term average. Rain was also very low, and this combined effect of heat and dryness had grapes racing to ripeness and harvest started early. The lack of rain ensured fruit intensity.
